UQ Ochsner June 24 FMIG Making Connections 01The LAFP Foundation and the FMIG at UQ Ochsner Clinical School partnered to host a panel discussion, “Quality of Life as a Family Physician.”

Panelists included:

  • Emily Holt, DO, MPH – Poppy Direct Care, Owner and Medical Director
  • Nichole G. George, MD – Ochsner Health
  • Lindsay Liles, MD – Associate Program Director, Kenner FMRP
  • Joseph Romito, MD – PGY 3, Kenner FMFP

The students enjoyed an interactive discussion from each panelists’ perspective of how they chose Family Medicine, their career path and striking a work-life balance. The students gained insight on residency programs in Louisiana, what a typical clinic day can look like, and current salary ranges for family physicians. The group enjoyed snacks and beverages provided by the LAFP Foundation.
