Multiple AAFP Award Applications Due March 1

Take some time to review the accomplishments you and your family physician colleagues have made to the specialty and apply for recognition with one of several major American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) awards.

The following awards have application deadlines of Saturday, March 1.

AAFP Public Health Award
Recognizes members who have dedicated their careers to improving public health.

John G. Walsh Award for Lifetime Contributions to Family Medicine
Honors individuals whose long-term dedication and effective leadership have furthered the development of family medicine.

Humanitarian Award
Honors extraordinary and enduring humanitarian efforts by Academy members both within and beyond the borders of the United States.

Exemplary Teaching Award for Continuing Professional Development
Recognizes AAFP members who have demonstrated exemplary teaching skills, implemented outstanding educational activities, or developed innovative Continuing Professional Development (CPD)* teaching models.

*Note that CPD speakers and authors may not nominate themselves for this award.
