About the Speaker:
Dr. Praneet Iyer is the Assistant Professor of Medicine at Louisiana State University in Department of Pulmonary/Critical Care. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. He completed his medical school training at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad, India. His Internal Medicine internship and residency training at St. Francis Medical Center, Seton Hall University School of Medicine, Trenton, New Jersey. He completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Iyer is the ICU Director at LSU Regional Medical center in Monroe, LA. He also serves on the Advisory Board for American College of Medicine (ACP) Governor for the LA chapter and is a member of the Thoracic Oncology Network, Pleural Disease Section Committee of the American College of CHEST Physicians (CHEST). His research interests are in pulmonary hypertension, lung cancer and interstitial lung disease, as well as critical care medicine.
