Through funding by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) is conducting a survey to better understand how moral injury impacts physicians and their patients. Specifically, they are exploring the conflict between the care physicians want to provide and the constraints imposed by the current system—and how the PNHP can best address this growing problem.
As family physicians dedicated to providing high quality healthcare, the PNHP is asking for your participation in this important survey addressing a critical issue: moral distress and injury among healthcare professionals. Moral distress occurs when professionals cannot carry out what they believe to be ethically appropriate actions because of constraints or barriers.
The survey is brief and will take only a few minutes of your time, but your contribution will have a lasting impact on research around moral injury and the impact of financialization in healthcare.
The more voices that complete the survey, the stronger the PNHP’s understanding of moral injury and burnout will be!
