The Family Medicine Student Organization (FMSO) grant program is proud to recognize outstanding medical student organizations and clubs at osteopathic and allopathic medical schools.
The program awards funds to groups doing innovative work to grow and diversify the family medicine workforce and advance primary care. It is proudly supported by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the AAFP Foundation.
Family Medicine Interest Groups (FMIG) and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians student chapters (SAACOFP) are eligible for core grants, which support regular FMIG/SAACOFP operations and $500 special grants for qualifying projects that support the growth of family medicine.
Core grants are reviewed and awarded monthly through Monday, March 31, 2025. Special grants are reviewed on a rolling basis with deadlines on Saturday, November 30; Friday, January 31, 2025; and Monday, March 31, 2025. Learn more and apply on the AAFP website.
