Help Matching Students Stay on Track
Help your fourth-year student members succeed in the National Resident Matching Program by sharing Strolling Through the Match. Specifically, the AAFP’s free, step-by-step guide to the Match offers a month-by-month checklist for fourth-year students to follow on page 2. In August, students participating in the Match should take the following steps if they haven’t already:
- Refine their residency program research
- Schedule a Medical Student Performance Evaluation interview
- Register for MyERAS
- Complete profile on MyERAS application
The checklist will also alert students to next steps, like registering with the NRMP (starting Sept. 15) and applying to programs.
