Prize Medallion with LAFP Foundation

Our family medicine and residents weren’t the only winners in the LAFP Foundation Fundraisers. Attendees were feeling lucky and won big in our Annual Prize Drawing and Wine and Whiskey Pull.

New for this year was our Legacy Golden Cork Raffle.  This was a chance to win one of three exclusive wine and bourbon selections.  Thank you to Dr. Teri O’Neil for the donation of Glenfiddich "Age of Discovery" 19 Year Old Single Malt Scotch, to Dr. Jason Schrock for his donation of Blanton’s Original Single Barrel Bourbon No. 195, and to Three Rivers Diagnostics donating Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond 8 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Don Julio Ultima Reserva Extra Anejo Tequila.

Attendees purchased tickets to take a chance to win some exciting prizes that included a New Orleans Prize Package, tickets to Saints home game, tickets to the SEC home opener for LSU Football, to the SEC home opener for LSU baseball, to the SEC home opener for LSU basketball, overnight hotel accommodations, Big Horn Pizza Oven, IRobot Roomba, 75” Samsung TV, and a Firepit with Ice chest.

The President’s Party was a Pirates of the Caribbean themed event sponsored by Primary Care Plus. During the President’s Party, the foundation auctioned off an Offshore Guided Fishing Trip donated by Moreau Physical Therapy and 2 tickets and parking pass to the opening weekend of the Men’s College World Series donated by CA Fire Group.  The winner of the fishing trip was William Founds, MD and Karl Hanson, MD won the tickets to the college world series.

The LAFP Foundation Board of Directors extends a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who purchased tickets! The future of Family Medicine is bright in Louisiana. 100% of the monies raised by these fundraisers support the Foundation’s outreach and recruitment efforts for our future – our students and residents. All donations to the LAFP Foundation are tax deductible.

Everyone who purchased a cork for the Wine and Whiskey Pull went home a winner with choice selections of libations.

If you wish to donate or have suggestions on unique items we should consider, send us your suggestions!
