This is an exciting time for our third-year family medicine residents! Graduation is right around the corner. The LAFP Board of Directors and staff offer our congratulations. These members are vital to the health of Louisiana.

Later this month, AAFP will upgrade our graduating residents’ membership status from “Resident” to “Active”. That means AAFP will mail a personal dues invoice with a letter from AAFP explaining the change in membership status and the dues amount owed to renew their membership for 2024. The good news is that their resident membership is current through the remainder of 2023, and they will receive the full complement of member benefits. Graduating residents staying in Louisiana to practice receive a discounted dues amount for their first year of Active membership. Graduating resident relocating state are encouraged to connect with the local state chapter.
