During this holiday season, we’re reflecting on all that we are thankful for here at the LAFP Foundation (Foundation). Through monetary donations, in-kind gifts, or time spent precepting a medical student, we are thankful for all of the members of the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians who have made a difference this year.
On Giving Tuesday, we are sharing our 2024 successes and the chance to support Foundation programming as we head into 2025.
The Foundation works to cultivate student career choice in the specialty of family medicine and ensure a thriving family physician workforce for Louisiana. Foundation programs have benefited thousands of Louisiana medical students and residents through event scholarships and programming to provide meaningful, family medicine-focused experiences. Without our donors, corporate partners and friends, the Foundation’s mission to cultivate student career choice in the specialty of family medicine would not be possible.
It’s simple to get started, choose how you would like to give. To give of your time, volunteer to speak at an FMIG meeting or precept at student. Donations to the LAFP Foundation fund our student and resident activities, support the FMIG efforts at 5 medical schools, present awards of excellence, and offer scholarships for our delegates to travel to the AAFP National Conference and Annual Assembly.
