It’s All About Connections!
It’s important to have a network of family doctors to share ideas, discuss treatment options for a challenging patient and of course, have fun with at member events. One such member event is our Grand Rounds and Member District Socials.
Our socials are held across the state and are regionally focused. They are also a time that we celebrate our members who have achieved a membership anniversary with the Academy or achieved the distinction of Fellow with the AAFP. Our socials couple building camaraderie with colleagues with a CME presentation that earns you 1 hour of Prescribed credit.
We are actively planning our 2025 Calendar of Events. Make sure to check your “Weekly Family Medicine Update” for the 2025 dates of our Grand Rounds Member District Social.
We hope to see you around the state:
- Greater New Orleans Grand Rounds – This includes New Orleans, Kenner, Metairie, Covington, Mandeville and Slidell alternating venues on the North Shore and in New Orleans/Metairie.
- Baton Rouge/Lafyette Grand Rounds – This includes Baton Rouge and Lafayette alternating venues in Baton Rouge and Lafayette
- Northeast Louisiana Grand Rounds – Members in the northeast corner of our state meet at a venue in Monroe.
- Southwest Louisiana Grand Rounds - Members in the southwest corner of our state meet at a venue in Lake Charles.
