Antoine Hedary MD 01ANTOINE HEDARY, MD – ALEXANDRIA
 
Dr. Hedary is from Rockledge, Florida, but spent his formative years in Texas and in Lebanon. In August 2021, he earned his medical degree from AUC in Sint Maarten and was recipient of the Family Medicine Education Scholarship. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Florida – Tampa. He volunteered at Shriner’s Hospital and previously worked as an OR Transporter. Dr. Hedary is fluent in French and Thai. His interests include surfing, traveling and the arts.
 
William Stansbury MD 01WILLIAM STANSBURY, MD – ALEXANDRIA
 
Dr. Stansbury is from West Monroe. He completed medical school at St. James University – Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in May and serves as the American Medical Student Association’s Sergeant of Arms. He received undergraduate training in Biology at University of LA – Monroe and LSU – Shreveport. For more than five years he was an Emergency Medicine Tech and also served as Combat Medic in the Louisiana Army National Guard in Ruston. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal and the Command Teams Award for Excellence earned during Guatemala missions building clinics and schools. William is an avid outdoorsman and likes hunting, fishing and hiking, as well as being a fitness enthusiast and proponent of macronutrients.       
 
Alex Montas MD 01ALEX MONTAS, MD – BATON ROUGE GENERAL
 
Dr.  Montas comes to us from Miami, FL. Her hometown is Miramar, FL. She is a first-generation Haitian-American. She attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL where she received her BS in Biological Science and received her medical doctor degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She then continued on to complete her Master of Public Health and Preventative Medicine (MPH) degree.  Dr. Montas’ hobbies and interests include cooking, yoga, community service and horticulture! 
 
Rury Santiago MD 01RURY SANTIAGO GUZMAN, MD BATON ROUGE GENERAL
 
Dr. Guzman comes to us from Miami, FL but calls Puerto Rico home. Dr. Santiago Guzman speaks Spanish fluently and lists traveling, international culinary interest, immersing in other cultures, nature sightseeing, and spending time with his family and friends as some of his favorite things to do. Dr. Santiago Guzman attended University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez Campus for his undergraduate degree in Pre Medicine and the American University of Antigua School of Medicine where he received his medical doctor degree.
 
Darryl Gaudet Jr. DO 01DARRYL GAUDET JR., DO – BOGALUSA
 
Dr. Gaudet is a third-year resident physician in the Louisiana State University Rural Family Medicine Residency Program in Bogalusa, LA. Dr. Gaudet was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Mandeville, LA. He attended Louisiana State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology. He then went on to obtain his master's degree in Biomedical Sciences at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans. After acquiring his master's degree, he attended medical school at William Carey College of Osteopathic medicine in Hattiesburg, MS. After residency he plans to practice both office-based medicine as well as hospital medicine. He has a particular interest in women's health and LGBTQ+ preventative care. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with family, video games, and playing with his dogs. 
 
Timilehin Oluseye MD 01TIMILEHIN OLUSEYE, MD – BOGALUSA
 
Dr. Oluseye, is a third-year resident physician in the Louisiana State University Rural Family Medicine Residency Program in Bogalusa, LA.  Dr. Oluseye was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria where he had graduated with a degree in Microbiology in 2007/2008. Having worked as a Scientist for a while in Nigeria, he later attended Saratov State Medical University in Russia, graduating with distinctions and a red Diploma where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2016. He began his post-graduate medical training in Antigua where he had become a General Practitioner and then moved to the United Kingdom and practiced as a Fellow in Gastroenterology and General Medicine before joining LSU and Our Lady of the Angels Hospital. His areas of medical interest include Hospital Medicine and Rural primary care.  He plans to practice Hospital Medicine and Rural primary care and is considering joining the FM faculty amidst other options upon graduation from residency.  Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling round the globe, spending time with family and friends, playing various musical instruments and video games.
 
Jackson Weaver MD 01JACKSON WEAVER, MD – EAST JEFFERSON
 
Dr. Weaver is from Little Rock, AR. He attended undergrad at the University of Arkansas and then medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He always wanted to be a family physician because of the connection to the community and providing lifelong care. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and cheering on the Razorbacks.
 
Alex Robertson MD 01 01ALEX ROBERTSON, MD – KENNER
 
Dr. Robertson is a Louisiana native, born and raised in Baton Rouge. He graduated from Louisiana State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Business Administration. He then earned his MD from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. He couples matched in New Orleans with his wife, Melynda, who is a Tulane Internal Medicine resident. Currently, Dr. Robertson serves as a Co-Chief Resident at LSU Family Medicine program in Kenner and has been chosen to serve as the Chief Resident for the 2024-2025 year. His passion is humanizing medicine which is evident as he's been inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. In addition to primary care, his clinical interest includes sports medicine which combines his love for sports with medicine. His hobbies include all things sports, refereeing basketball, cooking, eating, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. 
 
Lauren Tran MD 01LAUREN TRAN, MD – KENNER
 
Dr.  Tran was born and raised in New Orleans. She attended Tulane University where she majored in Psychology and Sociology. She then earned her medical degree from LSU in New Orleans. She chose Family Medicine so that she could act as an advocate for patients of all ages with a wide range of illnesses and pathologies. She finds joy in being able to get to know her patients well and identify the physical, biological, and psychosocial factors that may be affecting their health. She is passionate about social determinants of health and hopes to break down the barriers that limit people's access to healthcare and ability to navigate our convoluted healthcare system. After residency, she plans to practice outpatient primary care in the surrounding New Orleans area. In her spare time, she loves to cook and learn new recipes, weight training at the gym, and spending quality time with family and friends.
 
Shawn Brignac MD 01SHAWN BRIGNAC, MD – KENNER
 
Dr. Brignac is from Gramercy, LA. He went to Tulane for undergrad and LSU Shreveport for medical school. He matched FM for the variety of practice and continuity of care. He hopes to practice in an outpatient clinic in a small town/city in the future. When he is not at the hospital, he likes lifting weights and watching the UFC or old movies.
 
Logan Pittman MD 01LOGAN PITTMAN, MD – LAFAYETTE
 
Dr. Pittman was born in the Midwest but spent the majority of her childhood growing up in Ocala, Florida. She attended Florida State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. After completing her undergraduate studies, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a local hospital. She went on to attend medical school at the American University of the Caribbean located in St Marteen and completed her clinical rotations in Miami and the suburbs of DC. Logan is currently undergoing her residency in Family Medicine at the University Hospital and Clinics LSU in Lafayette, LA. After residency, she plans to continue her medical career in an outpatient primary care setting. 
 
Shea Inman MD 01SHEA INMAN, MD – LAFAYETTE
 
Dr. Inman grew up in rural southwest Virginia, where he dedicated much of his time to fulfilling his passion of training horses. He then went on to study Biochemistry at Virginia Tech and continued his education at the Medical University of the Americas, where he earned a degree in Doctor of Medicine.  Dr. Inman is currently a Family Medicine Resident Physician at LSU in Lafayette, Louisiana. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exploring National Parks and working towards his goal of obtaining a fellowship position in Wilderness Medicine.
 
Elvira Kazemyan MD 01ELVIRA KAZEMYAN, MD – LAKE CHARLES
 
Born in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Kazemyan calls Houston “home” as her family moved there not long after she was born.  She claims to be “the most southern-bred Persian there ever was!”  Dr. Kazemyan attended the University of Houston, graduating with a double major in biology and psychology.  She earned her Doctor of Medicine from St. Matthews University on Grand Cayman Island and considers herself “lucky” to have landed at LSUHSC Family Medicine Residency in Lake Charles.
 
Kai Ackley MD 01KAI ACKLEY, MD – JUNIOR CHIEF – LAKE CHARLES
 
Dr. Ackley was born in Clearlake, Texas, but grew up in Sulphur, Louisiana. He attended and graduated from McNeese State University majoring in Biology.  Dr. Ackley attended medical school at Xavier University School of Medicine in Aruba, which involved clinical rotations in major hospitals in several big cities such as Chicago & New York City.  Dr. Ackley enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. His hobbies include playing sports, doing yard work, and traveling.
 
Aastha Gupta 01AASTHA GUPTA, MD – MONROE
 
Dr. Gupta hails from a city called Ludhiana in Punjab, India. She completed her medical school training through Government Medical College, Patiala. While she has always been passionate about medicine, working during COVID 19 drew her attention to the social aspect of medicine, thus inspiring her to work in Family Medicine. She found that Family Medicine is where she can build relationships with patients while taking care of them.  In her free time, Dr. Gupta enjoys dancing, traveling to new places, and trying new cuisines.
 
Mary Olowere 01MARY OLOWERE, MD – MONROE
 
Dr. Olowere comes from the country of Nigeria. She obtained her medical degree from the College of Medicine University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Dr. Olowere gained a few years of medical experience in Nigeria before coming over the United States. Her medical interests include preventive medicine, women's health, lifestyle medicine, and medical missions. The passion she has for caring for the underserved communities leads her to volunteering in her community wherever that community is, whether it be in Nigeria or in the United States.  During her time off, Dr. Olowere loves to travel; she sees it as a means to explore her world. She also loves to write, listen to music, sing, and dance.
 
Sara Oglesbee MD 01SARA OGLESBEE, MD – SHREVEPORT, CORE FM PROGRAM
 
Dr. Oglesbee is from rural East Texas and has aspired to be a doctor from a young age. She is a graduate from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, which in combination with her upbringing further cemented her desire to practice in rural medicine, providing care to those who need it most.  She also has an interest in international medicine, joining groups such as SHIP (Support for Humanitarianism through Intercontinental Projects) and GHO (Global Health Organization) to provide medicine and medical care in the countries of Ecuador and Kenya. She has plans for many more trips in the future. 
 
Sarath Thomas Ranji MD 01SARATH THOMAS RANJI, MD – SHREVEPORT, CORE FM PROGRAM
 
Dr. Ranjit was born and brought up in India where he completed his medical training at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences. His medical career is distinguished by a deep commitment to community service and preventive health care, underpinning his choice of family medicine as a specialty. Sarath values the continuity of care that family medicine provides, allowing for comprehensive treatment of diverse conditions across all age groups, and a proactive approach to preventative health screening.  In addition to his residency, Sarath actively participates in the LSUHS Resident Council as a Member-at-Large, contributing to initiatives aimed at improving resident training and welfare. His interests extend beyond clinical practice to the integration of medicine with social media, where he leverages digital platforms to enhance public health awareness and education.
 
Noor Khurana DO 01NOOR KHURANA, DO – SHREVEPORT FAMILY MEDICINE RURAL PROGRAM
 
Dr. Khurana was born in Providence, RI. She attended medical school at UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in May 2022. Rural. Her hobbies include playing tennis, pickleball, yoga, traveling, cooking, and baking
 
Sara Pettinelli MD 01SARA PETTINELLI, MD SHREVEPORT FAMILY MEDICINE RURAL PROGRAM
 
Dr.  Pettinelli was born in Stockholm, Sweden. She attended medical school at Universitatea de Medicin i Farmacie Iuliu Haieganu Facultatea in Romania and graduated in 2014. Outside of medicine she enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, Sophia.
 
Michael Donald MD 01MICHAEL DONALD, MD – SHREVEPORT EM/FM PROGRAM 
 
Dr. Donald was born and raised in West Monroe, LA. Graduated with his bachelors from the University of Louisiana Monroe in Biology. He pursued and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Medical Sciences from Mississippi College. Afterwards he attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and would continue his education there for residency. He is avid outdoorsman enjoying activities including hunting and fishing. He is a passionate supporter of Louisiana sports teams. His interests include primary care and emergency medicine. 
 
Danielle Handrop MD 01DANIELLE HANDROP, MD – SHREVEPORT EM/FM PROGRAM 
 
Dr. Dani Handrop is a Caddo Parish native that graduated from LSU Shreveport Medical School and matched into the LSU Shreveport EMFM program. She traveled and lived abroad before settling down in her hometown and starting a family with her husband and now 3 children. She plans to continue to serve her community of Caddo Parish. She is passionate about rural medicine and providing accessible health care to rural communities.
