The LAFP, in partnership with Ochsner, hosted the inaugural Monroe Area Grand Rounds and Member District Social. The group enjoyed a beautiful evening at Catahoula’s on Bayou DeSiard.
Gaurav Katwal, MD & William Rosales, MD with the Family Medicine Residency Program LSU Health Shreveport – Monroe gave an update of their experience at FMX. The Monroe Residency Program had 2 case reports chosen for presentation at FMX. Dr. Katwal submitted “Case Report: Semaglutide induced Acute Kidney Injury”, and Dr. Rosales submitted “Case Report: Pulmonary Tuberculosis in a Haystack of Confounders.” Dr. Rosales and Dr. Katwal also talked about their “take aways” from the CME lectures they attended and key exhibitors with pertinent services for family physicians.
