The FMIG at LSU Health New Orleans hosted its last meeting of the semester. The topic of this meeting was “Life as a Family Medicine Resident.” Dr. Darryl Gaudet, Bogalusa FMRP, Dr. Justin Ren, Kenner FMRP, and Dr. James Vu, East Jefferson FMRP led the panel discussion of what a typical day looks like for them. They also talked about how they chose Family Medicine and answered students' questions about balancing work, life, and call schedules.

The students enjoyed a lunch provided by the LAFP Foundation. We are looking forward to next semester and partnering with the FMIG to host a Louisiana Family Medicine Residency Recruitment Fair and Procedural Workshops in February.
