The LAFP Foundation hosted the South Louisiana Residency Recruitment Fair and Regional Procedural Workshops on Thursday, March 9th in New Orleans, LA. Students from LSU Health New Orleans, Tulane School of Medicine, UQ Ochsner, and VCOMM were invited to attend this event. We would like to thank our sponsors Franciscan Missionaries of our Lady Health System and St. Tammany Hospital for sponsoring the event this year.
Students were able to visit with faculty and residents from our residency programs in a relaxed setting. Everyone enjoyed lunch and learning more about all our programs have to offer. Programs participating included:

Later that afternoon, the students attended hands on clinical skills workshops to learn more about what procedures family physicians can perform and to have more interaction with our faculty and residents all while learning important skills.The workshops included:

- Incision and Drainage: St. Tammany FMRP
- Joint Injection: Lafayette FMRP
- LARC Insertion: Ochsner Kenner FMRP
- Musculoskeletal Ultrasound: Lake Charles FMRP
- Punch Biopsy: FMOLHS with East Jefferson General Hospital FMRP
- Suture: Baton Rouge General FMRP
