The Family Medicine Discovers Rapid Cycle Scientific Discovery and Innovation Initiative (FMD RapSDI) supports short-term innovative and high-impact research projects led by practicing family physicians.
Two practicing family physicians will be selected as 2024 FMD RapSDI scholars. Each scholar receives up to $40,000 in grant funding for research costs, including time and/or salary requirements. Scholars also receive mentorship support and research infrastructure from the AAFP National Research Network (AAFP NRN).
The application process is now open. The first-round application period for FMD RapSDI 2024 closes at 5 p.m. CT, Jan.16, 2024. No previous research experience is required.
