Active and resident members came together at Ruffino’s on the River in Lafayette to enjoy an evening of visiting with colleagues and CME. The CME program, “A Case of Acute Hepatitis in an 18-year-old Female”, was presented by Akash Shah, MD, PGY-2 and Alexia Montas, MD, PGY-2, Baton Rouge General FMRP. Dr. Ubaid Abassi, core faculty with the program, introduced the speakers and explained that the presentation would be like a typical didactics session. The audience enjoyed participating during the presentation.

The LAFP was honored to confer two Fellows during the social:

Dr. Vincent Shaw led the convocation ceremony and presented each with their certificate.

Dr. Jose Mata was recognized for his 40 years of continuous membership in the Academy.
