The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) is excited to announce that applications are now open for a new cohort of the Resident Well-Being and Burnout Prevention ECHO for family medicine residency programs.
This program is part of the AAFP’s “Physician Health First: Building Resiliency Intersectionally during Graduate Education (BRIDGE)” grant supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The Resident Well-Being and Burnout Prevention ECHO will upscale resident knowledge and skill through short didactics, network knowledge sharing, and case-based learning across eight videoconferencing sessions between August-December 2023. Each session will provide a safe, confidential environment where residents can come together virtually to learn more about burnout and well-being.
The AAFP is currently recruiting family medicine residency programs committed to sending at least three residents to each session during the fall. This is a great opportunity for chief residents and residents who are looking for well-being opportunities. Applications are due Thursday, June 15.
