Established in 1990, our three-year program cultivates family physicians who are compassionate clinicians, dynamic leaders and fierce healthcare advocates. Dedicated to addressing the health care needs of Louisiana, the program places an emphasis on residents becoming ambulatory care experts who provide high-quality, patient-centered care at an affordable price. And as the area’s only full service community hospital, residents have the opportunity to learn from experienced attending physicians and specialist, in addition to caring for patients and families similar to those they will manage in the future.
The Baton Rouge General Family Medicine Residency Program is located in Baton Rouge, LA, is fully accredited by the ACGME, and open to accepting eight residents per year.
