The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) has launched two immunization initiatives designed to help practices strengthen immunization conversations and improve immunization care. Practices can choose the program that fits their patients or apply for both.

The conversation around immunizations has changed. While the science remains clear, patients are navigating more information than ever, and not all of it is accurate. Those questions increasingly show up in the exam room, creating new opportunities for family physicians and care teams to guide them with clarity and trust.

The New Immunization Conversation (supported by GSK)
A hands-on initiative for practices focused on all patient populations, equipping selected participants with educational resources, a custom patient video, and complimentary FMX 2026 registration and travel for the physician participant.

Improving Immunization Culture (supported by Pfizer)
A quality improvement initiative for practices focused on adults 50 and older, pairing care teams with an office champion and educational resources to strengthen immunization care through a structured, milestone-based program.

Both programs offer:

  • Evidence-based educational materials for care teams and patients
  • Ready-to-use resources for the exam room, waiting room, and digital channels
  • The chance to strengthen immunization processes and build vaccine confidence
  • An administrative payment upon completion.

Just 25 practices per program will be selected. Applicants must be active AAFP members. Applications are open through Monday, August 10.
