The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is now accepting applications for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Students to Service Loan Repayment Program (NHSC S2S LRP). Students pursuing primary care health professions training in eligible disciplines can receive loan repayment funding through the NHSC S2S LRP up to $120,000.
Students in their final year of school pursuing eligible primary care health professions training leading to:
- A degree in medicine (allopathic or osteopathic)
- A degree in dentistry
- A postgraduate degree or postgraduate certificate from a school or program in nurse midwifery education, physician assistant education, or nurse practitioner education.
In exchange for loan repayment funding, participants must provide three years of service at an NHSC-approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). Only those students who are committed to practicing primary care and are able to relocate to underserved communities based on the needs of the NHSC should consider becoming an NHSC S2S LRP participant. The application for the S2S LRP is open through Thursday, November 6, 7:30 p.m. ET.
