The Family Medicine Cares Resident Service Award from the AAFP Foundation is available to help first- and second-year resident members address health disparities in their local communities.

Up to two $16,500 awards will fund enduring projects working with organizations such as free clinics and health departments that benefit underserved patients and communities. Residents who are selected will also speak about the work at FUTURE (formerly National Conference).
