On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the LAFP hosted the Greater New Orleans Area Grand Rounds and Member Social. Our members enjoyed visiting with friends over cocktails before the dinner presentation hosted by the LSU Kenner Family Medicine Residency Program. The speakers for the evening, Alex Robertson, MD and Shawn Brignac, MD, presented “Woah, Look Back At It: Beyond the Basics of Low Back Pain”.  

We were honored to hold a convocation ceremony for 2 LAFP members:

• Keisha D'Andrea Harvey, MD, FAAFP
• Madeleine L. Maras, MD, FAAFP

Emilio Russo, MD, FAAFP, led the convocation ceremony.  It was particularly special for Dr. Russo as both Dr. Harvey and Dr. Maras were his residents at the Bogalusa FMRP when he was Program Director.

We were also excited to recognize the following members for their membership anniversary with the LAFP:
