In 2026, Primary Care for America (PCfA)is focusing on the biggest developments and biggest opportunities taking shape in primary care.
One of the most exciting moments is PCfA’s upcoming annual event, PrimaryCare26 (PC26), on Wednesday, May 13. PCfA will hear from national leaders shaping major initiatives and investments in primary care and join healthcare thought leaders, innovators, and experts to explore new ideas and solutions to strengthen the primary care workforce and drive the future of primary care forward.
PC26 will also be a key space to gather around PCfA’s newest work: the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) are launching the “Triple Double,” a bold, coordinated effort to improve care, lower costs, and establish primary care as the foundation of the U.S. health system.
The NACHC and the AAFP, founding members of PCfA, are working alongside organizations and advocates to double investment in primary care, double the reach of primary care (beginning with community health centers) and double the clinicians practicing in primary care. By bringing together community health centers with the broader primary care community, the “Triple Double” represents a new era of unified advocacy for primary care investment and access.
