LPMA would like to share that this coming Saturday 2/28/26 they will be holding their spring conference where Dr. Daniel Perl, M.D. will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Perl is a neuropathologist who serves as the director of the Dept. of Defense's Brain Bank. He was a leading researcher on CTE before being asked by the DOD to serve as brain bank director to study what impacts modern weaponry used by the military has on the brain. On Saturday afternoon he will be presenting two lectures of his research detailing the CTE-like scarring and the behavioral effects that are experienced by soldiers with constant exposure in close proximity to the blast waves produced by large artillery weapons. His research has been published in The Lancet and he's been featured in the NY Times.
