Inspire students and residents with the vast possibilities of family medicine! Workshop proposals for FUTURE 2026, the AAFP’s National Conference for the Future of Family Medicine, are being accepted until Wednesday, September 24.
The FUTURE Planning Committee is seeking educational programming ideas for allopathic and osteopathic students and residents that showcase the broad scope of family medicine. Attendees are interested in interactive formats, innovative ways of learning about family medicine, and topics they may not generally be exposed to as part of their medical school or residency training.
Workshops will focus on the following content tracks:
- Career planning
- Skills and research
- Policy and advocacy.
FUTURE 2026 will be held Thursday-Saturday, July 30–August 1, in Kansas City, MO. The 2025 event welcomed over 5,100 attendees, including nearly 1,600 medical students and more than 1,300 residents.
