Fourth-year student members and others participating in the 2026 Match likely have questions, and the LAFP is here to help you find the answers. The LAFP hosted the first session of the "Preparing for the 2026 Family Medicine Match" series given by Dr. Rick Streiffer, Dr. Lisa Casey and Dr. Lindsay Liles. During the session, the speakers provided information to medical students for the upcoming Match. They provided an overview of the ERAS process, talked about letters of recommendations, explained how to craft a response regarding “experiences” of why they chose family medicine and provided recommendations on how to develop a CV. There will be another session of the series on Wednesday, September 24th at 6:00 pm. This session will provide information to students on the interview process with residency programs including scheduling tips and the basics of interviewing.
