We are excited to introduce our August Member of the Month, David Mas, MD. Dr. Mas is a 2026 graduate of the LSU Lafayette Family Medicine Residency Program with deep roots to Acadiana. He was originally born in Cuba but grew up in Lafayette with his mom and 2 brothers. 

He earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he completed both his Medical Doctor (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees. After initially completing a year of general surgery residency with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas, he transitioned to family medicine and is currently completing his residency with LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, based in Lafayette. He will be working as a hospitalist and emergency medicine physician upon graduation.
