The Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health, Bureau of Family Health, invites pediatric primary care providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, to participate in key informant interviews to help inform the possible development of a pediatric primary care training and support center in Louisiana within the Bureau of Family Health.
The center is envisioned as a statewide hub to help providers advance quality improvement efforts and implement pediatric care best practices, including developmental screening, care coordination, adolescent well-care, and other pediatric medical home components in their clinics.
Interviews with the pediatric primary care providers will ensure the supports available through a training center reflect real-world clinical workflows, the learning preferences of providers, and quality improvement priorities across diverse practice settings.
Providers may participate in up to three 45-60 minute informant interviews in June and July, which will focus on:
- The design of a pediatric primary care training and resource center and how it engages providers
- Practice-level quality improvement capacity and culture
- Facilitators and barriers to improving pediatric practices
Providers will receive a $200 stipend for each interview they attend, in recognition of their time and expertise. Participation in these interviews is entirely voluntary.
