Dr. Rodney R. Lafon Performing Arts Center:
The performing arts center is currently under construction and is
scheduled to be completed in Spring 2018. Plans continue to be
developed to further define program offerings and to maximize
the use of the facility for students and the community.
Safety Enhancements:
Through the 2015 bond issue, plans will continue for
implementation of the visitor management system (Raptor),
installation of perimeter fencing at all campuses, and expansion of
the video surveillance system throughout the district.
Health and Social Services:
The district is focused on reducing the barriers to student learning
through early detection and intervention. Refinement of practices
such as bully prevention, counseling, truancy court, mental health
services and restorative practices will provide student support
that contributes to success.
