As a member of the LAFP\, you are encouraged to\, attend and participate in the LAFP's 2026 General Assembly\, which will convene on < strong>Friday\, July 24\, 2026 at 1:00 pm. The General Assembly w ill be held in conjunction with LAFP's 79th Annual Assembly and Exhibition at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin\, FL.
\nLAFP members may present resolutions for debate
which set the direction for the Academy in the coming year. Any LAFP membe
r can submit a resolution for vote. If you wish to submit a resolution\, i
t must be submitted\, in writing\, to Ragan LeBlanc\, Executive Vice Presi
dent of the LAFP at least thirty (30) days prior to the General Assembly (
No later than June 24\, 2026). Resolutions cannot be submitted from the fl
oor except by an affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members of the Gene
ral Assembly present and voting.
Any resolution submitted from the
floor and accepted for presentation must be submitted in writing to the Sp
eaker of the General Assembly\, Dr. Derek Anderson. To learn more about wr

Any five or mo
re members may propose bylaws or amendments of bylaws. Such proposals must
be submitted to Ragan LeBlanc\, LAFP's Executive Vice President\, at leas
t sixty (60) days prior to any regular or special meeting of the General A
ssembly\, and notice shall be given to all members at least thirty (30) da
ys prior to the meeting at which the proposals are to be voted upon.
An affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the members present and vo
ting shall constitute adoption. Amendments shall take effect immediately u
